Family club which offers a safe and managed facility for children and adults to enjoy dirtbike riding in the Whitsundays.
The Whitsunday Dirt Riders Club is seeking volunteers to assist with the co-ordination of race meets, assist in the canteen and manage the club facilities.
Training will be provided by the club.
Instructors will cover the basics and
advanced manoeuvres as well as
machine maintenance and safety
gear for the riders.
Motocross is also a great spectator
sport and spectators are very
welcome at all race days.
Motocross offers:
• Fitness • Friendships • Goals
• Skills • Family participation
• Achievement • Self esteem
- To provide a venue to promote the sport of Dirt Bike Riding.
- Promotion of a safe venue that offers an excellent learning environment for motorcycle riding procedures for non-motorbike racers… Kids that are paddock bashing.
- Have a fantastic Motocross track that people want to go to and look forward to riding on.
- Promote our facility as one for motor sport not just a facility for Motocross Bikes.
- Endeavour to create a culture of coexistance and excellence where people of all ages may learn and compete in a friendly and competitive atmosphere.
- To have the backing from club members to deliver well planned events that fall into place on the day.
- For our facilities to gain recognition within the Whitsunday region (Proserpine, Bowen, Collinsville and Airlie Beach)
- Playing a integral part of the sporting culture of the region.
- Encourage volunteers and educate to create a proactive atmosphere, which will maintain a positive club culture.

New Track Practice Opening Times will be from 9am - 1pm every Weekend.
No changes to Mid-Week Practice - Gates Open 3:30pm til Late every Wednesday
2 Day MX / Dirt Track Training Course with Coach Ben Schodel.
At Drays Park, Proserpine. Sign on 8am on Saturday and Basic MX skills and DirtTrack training , Sunday is advanced MX skills training. Canteen is open for drinks. Ring Ben on 0410 690 392 to book in because limited spots!
The series this year involves the clubs from Mackay, Moranbah, Middlemount, Emerald, Gladstone and Proserpine. With all these clubs having different conditions it is sure to even out the competition over the series to keep the racing closer and exciting. Each club has camping and shower/toilet facilities so don’t forget to pack the tent and have an enjoyable weekend. With our region producing many great riders in the past we are sure there will be more riders proving that point again this year.
The CQMX Committee would like to thank Paul from “MPE” for his fantastic support in our series, which he has been supporting for many years now, when you see him around at our venues don’t be afraid to ask for any advice he is always willing to help out. The CQMX Committee would also like to thank Ash from “Precise Corporation” for his renewed support into our series.
Don’t forget each club has their own race secretary and to send your nominations off to each club by the closing date for each round, which can be found in the Supplementary Regulations.
CQMX has a facebook group called “CQMX”, keep an eye on there for any updates or changes as well as on the MQ website.
